Lymph Drainage Therapy
What is it? Why we need it…
The Lymphatic System has been the neglected “waste disposal
system” of human health, says Dr. Mehmet Oz. As with nutrition;
it is covered only briefly in medical schools. However, with the
growing knowledge and value of our Lymphatic System we are
becoming aware of its importance for optimal health. LDT is
regarded as ‘standard practice’ in Europe and Canada while
gaining greater recognition in the States.
Manual Lymph Drainage (pronounced drain-ahge, like massage)
Therapy, is a unique hands-on method developed and taught by the
French Physician and research scientist Bruno Chikly, M.D., D.O.
Our Lymphatic System (LS) is a separate circulatory system,
running parallel to our blood circulatory system. It’s the
critical key component for the body’s ability to maintain proper
fluid balance, detoxify, help regenerate tissue, filter out
foreign substances and maintain a healthy immune system. When
the LS is not moving as well as it should; excess fluid,
proteins (cellular proteins, not the type found in foods),
metabolic waste and toxins accumulate. Then, the body’s ability
to maintain a healthy state is compromised. This build up of
waste in the system, then leads to physical ailments (swelling,
discomfort, stagnant body fluids, progressive vein and organ
problems) expediting our aging process.
Treatments involve extremely gentle hands-on maneuvers; to
assist, encourage and aid the flow of your LS. Manual Lymph
Drainage Therapy can be applied to the whole body or an isolated
area, as with scaring, bruising or edema (swelling).
For the face; when the LS is not functioning well, we may
experience darkening ‘circles’ or puffiness around the eyes,
deeper lines and wrinkles, lack of skin tone, uneven skin
texture, acne, sinus congestion, ear aches and ringing, head
aches, migraines, etc.. Whole body treatments work with both the
front and back of the body, helping to alleviate pain/swelling,
stimulating our whole body’s system at deep & superficial
levels.
This profound technique of therapy helps with autoimmune
conditions such as fibromyalgia, with insomnia, high blood
pressure, insulin issues and is beneficial in improving pain
management. Lymph Drainage treatment is extremely helpful before
and after any surgery. It stimulates and prepares the body
before it is surgically altered; promoting faster healing,
healthy tissue and minimal scaring. The LS assists our body’s
own healing, helping provide a more comfortable and minimal
recovery time.
Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy has many advantages as it helps
balance our physical and mental health by encouraging
detoxification of the body. This gentle technique it is ideal
for everyone. While it calms the system, it stimulates our brain
function & focus. It’s used for stress management, for
detoxifying the body, especially during weight loss and supports
the balancing of our hormones. While it helps minimize fluid
retention and swelling, it is highly effective in aiding in the
maintenance and drainage of those with the swelling associated
with Lymphedema (with or without bandaging) and the many
uncomfortable symptoms.
Your optimal health, overall wellness and beauty stems from
inside out.
Isn’t it time to experience the rewards of Manual Lymph Drainage
Therapy?

Oriental Foot Reflexology
What is Oriental Foot Reflexology? This therapy is a combination
of Oriental Shiatsu Massage techniques; working with the body’s
meridian channels of energy; along with traditional foot
Reflexology. Reflexology is a science; which deals with the
principle that there are reflex areas in the hands and feet that
correspond to all the glands, organs and areas of the body. By
stimulating these reflexes properly, we can help many health
ailments and problems in a natural way, without drugs.
Reflexology improves nerve and blood supply, naturally
encouraging circulation, promotes healing and reduces pain and
discomfort while offering you a chance to relax. Doctors agree
that over 85% of our health problems can be linked to nervous
stress and tension. Many people enjoy this incredible, relaxing
therapy…”it feels wonderful”.
The Benefits…While you are relaxing on a massage table, I
will apply pressure to many different areas of your feet. Each
foot has 26 bones, over 7,000 nerve endings, along with 19
muscles and over 100 ligaments! The touch will stimulate organs,
glands and the many systems of your body; to help promote a
natural, non-invasive healing process.

CranioSacral Therapy
I welcome you…to experience the incredible possibilities of
better health and harmony
What is CranioSacral Therapy?
Developed by
Osteopathic Physician, Dr. John E. Upledger of the Upledger
Institute in Florida.
• Like the rhythms of our heartbeat and breath; it is based on
another rhythm, the CranioSacral rhythm. This rhythm results
from the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid as it flows around
the brain and through the spinal cord; up and down our spine,
from head (cranium), to the base of our spine (sacrum).
• An effective and powerful type of bodywork designed to direct
and treat our physical as well as emotional restrictions.
• A soothing therapeutic process that will stimulate your body’s
natural healing and help restore its own inherent harmony and
balance.
How is the treatment done?
Treatment is given in a safe professional environment. Sessions
are usually about an hour in length. Wear comfortable clothing;
you will be asked to lie on a treatment table fully clothed. I
will monitor your CranioSacral rhythm and then proceed with a
light touch, hands-on treatment of adjustments to your body.
Why does CranioSacral Therapy (CST) work?
Understanding this unique rhythm allows the experienced
practitioner to monitor its flow and make an assessment for your
treatment. Specific therapeutic techniques are then incorporated
to assist the hydraulic forces present within the CranioSacral
system. By aiding in the balance of your body’s circulatory
system, its organs, and relaxing the mind, CST naturally
improves your own capacity to heal. The benefits are overall
heath and resistance to ”dis-ease”.
Conditions treated:
Chronic and acute pain/ Sciatica
Orthopedic problems/ joint and back pain
Multiple Sclerosis/ tremors
Migraine headaches/ eye, ear, nose and throat problems
Sports injuries / accidents and trauma
Fibromyalgia / Chronic Fatigue/ autoimmune disorders
TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Syndrome
Stress / anxiety / tension related conditions
Traumatic Stress Disorder or questions
Learning disabilities/ ADD/ADHD
Cerebral Palsy
And… many other physical and emotional conditions
To schedule your CST sessions, contact Linda directly at 520.400.6763.
